The Erwins have a farewell dinner for Joyce’s boyfriend, who is going to enlist in some branch of the service, but does not know which one is best suited to his talents. Stu and Harry Johnson make a bet that they can persuade Drexel to join the branch of service they were in.*

Stu thinks Joyce and Drexel are planning to elope, so he gets Willie to help him stop them.*

Meanwhile, Mr. Parsons is trying to buy some land from Stu. A new airport is to be built there and Stu hatches a plan to get top dollar for the property. James Dean is seen as a teenager.*
